The card can be used for smart card payment of parking fees in paid parking zones of city district Prague 1. The card carries prepaid electronic parking vouchers.
Before parking
Before the card is used to pay for parking, it is necessary to charge it with vouchers that can be purchased at Opencard contact points. Customers will have a choice of 100, 200, 500 and 1,000 point vouchers. Their price varies with the number of points purchased.
Transaction process
Staff working at contact points will top up the card with vouchers. Vouchers can be added on to existing points, but the total value must not be more than 2,000 czk. The card can be used for the payment of parking meter fees as long as the card has sufficient credit. Parking meters that accept Opencard are marked with the Opencard logo. Insert the card into the parking meter; choose the length of parking time, and the meter will deduct the corresponding amount from the card.
The price corresponds to the tariff of the individual paid parking zone. After the transaction is carried out, the parking meter will automatically issue a parking ticket.
