Yearly PID Voucher Dates Can Be Suspended

As of 1st July 2010, Prague passengers can suspend their yearly vouchers for up to 14 days.

The yearly Opencard voucher validity dates can be interrupted twice a year, for 14 days at maximum, altogether for up to 60 days.

The validity of the yearly voucher will then be extended for the time by which it was suspended.

Basic facts and rules:

  • In 2010 to engage the suspended service is free of charge
  • The already purchased 365-day tickets can be suspended as well
  • Transferable yearly tickets can not be interrupted
  • Vouchers can be suspended at the counter “Vratky” in the Central Control Office of Prague Public Transport Co (counter n. 9), in Information centres of the Prague Public Transport Co, on the metro stations Muzeum, Anděl and nádraží Holešovice, and in Škoda palace
  • Vouchers can be suspended in person or on behalf of somebody with the power of attorney
  • Vouchers can be suspended up to 60 days in advance
