Since November 2009, there has been the electronic version of the 2010 Opencard public transport season ticket on sale.
The voucher costs CZK 4,750, and it can be purchased at Contact Points or in the DPP e-shop. As this is a ‘flexible voucher’, it is necessary to set the validity commencement between 1st and 31st January. This voucher is sold from 31st January 2010.
Purchasing via e-shop is easy and can be done by visiting the website http://eshop.dpp.cz. All you need to do is to tap in the Opencard number, select the appropriate voucher (for example the yearly one) and payment method. You can pay either by bank transfer or by bank card. The voucher can then be downloaded in any metro validator, if paid for by bank transfer it is available immediately and if you used a bank card it takes two days. Customers need to insert Opencard in the validator which will download the voucher in about 20 second’s time. The whole purchase takes 10 minutes at maximum. You can also buy the voucher for someone else as a present, but you need to know the number of his/her card.
