Opencard: Your Convenience Card

Home Page Portal of Prague Česky

Anonymous Opencard Launched

As of 17th December, an anonymous version of Opencard will be issued. As opposed to the personal version of the card, you don’t need to state any personal data.

Apart from this advantage, there is also an option to use transferable vouchers from Prague Integrated Transport.

A great advantage of anonymous cards lies in the fact that they are transferable. Opencard project spokesman, Martin Opatrný explained, A company can buy several cards, download flexible Prague Integrated Transport (PID) vouchers onto them, and keep lending them to its employees when needed. The same is, of course, true for the families that don’t use PID on a daily basis.

Yearly, 30 day and 90 day Prague Integrated Transport vouchers can be also downloaded onto the anonymous card.

As opposed to the standard Opencard, a fee of 200 CZK applies to the issue of this type of card. Currently the anonymous Opencard can be purchased at the Contact Point in Adria Palace, in Jungmannova Street, Prague 1.
